Play Centre Courses

To uphold the requirements for the Ministry of Education, Early childhood education (ECE) centres and kōhanga reo must have one first aid qualified person present for every 25 children attending, at all times.

At PRS we can offer a course that focuses on First Aid requirements and Basic Life Support for children aged 0-6.

We have been granted consent to assess NZQA Unit Standards 6400, 6401 & 6402 which can be reported to the NZQA to appear on your Record of Achievement.

Early learning services have a statutory requirement to have first aid qualified staff, as is stated in the Education and Training Act 2020.
